Nike has collaborated with Boston's iconic brand Concepts to launch the brand-new Air Max 1 x Concepts 'Mellow'. Founded in 1996, Concepts has evolved from a basement in Braintree to a renowned purveyor of distinctive and creative designs. Inspired by the 1967 album "Summer of Love" and the influential Classic Music Festival, the shoe features a denim upper adorned with an unconventional Square Scarf Print, embodying the hippie spirit of creativity, self-expression, and exploration. The midsole incorporates Ink Splatter Print, drawing inspiration from the concerts held in the park at that time, resulting in a must-have masterpiece.


In January 1964, University of Oregon track athlete Phil Knight and his coach, Bill Bowerman, founded Blue Ribbon Sports, the predecessor to Nike. In 1972, they began designing and producing their own footwear and named the brand Nike, after the Greek goddess of victory.
